There are ways to disguise differences in height in photos...and this is not one of them. XD

~

Today, costuming folks and I talked about how it can be difficult for everyone in a group cosplay to be the appropriate heights for characters.

Ultimately, I don't think that it matters, as long as everyone is happy with the character he/she is portraying.

But the photo above just makes me laugh. :D

(Note: I am the pink-haired one in the photo. I wouldn't make fun of someone else for her height. ^^;)

I would have never guessed from the other photos I've seen! I think learning to scale things accurately to one's own body makes the biggest difference. Even though I'm tall, I'll wear heels if necessary to get the right silhouette. Anime girls are an anomaly in that they have suuuuper long legs and look suuuuuper tall.... until you stick them next to a guy... like Akio, haha!

That makes me pleased to hear! It helps when the shot is taken at a long angle, too- then you get those Shōjo legs which go on for miles.

If I do any "couple" shots when I'm crossplaying, though, I think I'm going to have to bring a footstool or a box. There's just no getting around it. :XD:
